Hawks Creek Golf Club is a Semi-Private (open to the public) 18-hole golf course located in Ft. Worth, Texas on the grounds of the former Carswell AFB.
Previously named Carswell Golf Club, this eighteen hole track was renovated in 2000 and reopened in 2002 as Hawks Creek Golf Club. The renovation design was done by John Colligan.
The front nine has narrow, tree-lined fairways, and the back nine is wide open and very windy. The greens are large and fast, and the terrain is hilly. Water comes into play on a few holes, and many sand bunkers strategically placed throughout the course. The club also features a historic "Scottish Castle" style clubhouse. Hawks Creek Golf Club is a combination of beautiful mature trees, strategically placed bunkers, and natural water hazards.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,847 yards. From the forward tees the course plays to 5,394 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 576 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 139 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 9, a 547 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Hawks Creek Golf Club is # 17, the short 139 yard par-3.

The course is kept in excellent condition. The senior rates are fair but only for Monday through Thursday. Weekend rates are a bit high. I enjoy the layout and difficulty of the course. The club house is unique. Excellent, friendly staff and a new improved practice area. This is my go to course because it is a fair value. Don't be surprised if a a jet fighter takes off while you are playing. Interesting to be located next to a Naval Reserve Base.

I have played Hawks Creek several times throughout the drought conditions this summer, course is consistently in extremely good conditon; especially the greens which I feel are best in the area.
Overall the course is a shot makers course which requires ability to use all clubs in the bag.
Stately Clubhouse adds to the overall quality of the Club. Club Staff (Greg) is one of the friendlist and more professional gents of many clubs.
For the price, Hawks Creek is a jewel and deserves recognition as one of the premier golf clubs in NTX.

Very interesting course. Lot of twists and turns. No house on the course. A big plus for me. Need to know the course to score. Only downside was the greens had just been aerated so I could not judge the greens normal state. Fairways were in good shape. The staff was friendly and helpful. Set me up to play with a threesome as I was a single walk-on. Moved along fairly well especially for a Saturday morning. Only downside is there is no dress code. Just do not think gym shorts and t-shirts are appropriate on a golf course.
